REO PRESS

REO PRESS is my personal publishing label, a collection of books that I have written and self-published. The purpose of this project is to share creative work outside of the video game industry and explore other sides of what I love to create.

At the core of everything I do there has always been storytelling and world building, and REO PRESS is a space dedicated entirely to that, a place for ideas, worlds, characters, and concepts that live independently from games but come from the same imagination.

The name REO came to me during one of my trips to Japan. It is the way my name, Leo, would be pronounced in Japanese, but its meaning can change depending on which kanji are used to write it. Different kanji combinations can represent ideas like path, center, spirit, creation, or journey. I liked that the name could hold multiple meanings at the same time, because it reflects the idea that stories and worlds can be interpreted in many different ways depending on how you look at them.

The lion in the REO PRESS logo represents freedom, wilderness, and independence, the idea of creating without constraints and exploring ideas without limits. The pages flowing from the mane symbolize stories taking shape and imagination turning into something real. The star represents inspiration, a distant point you move toward, something that guides creation and gives direction to new ideas. Together, the symbol represents the freedom to explore, to imagine, and to share those visions through books.

In many ways, REO PRESS is the purest expression of my personal creative work. It’s not a company, it’s not a studio, it’s simply a personal creative space where I can publish my worlds, my ideas and my stories.

The Dopamine Studio: A Guide to Directing Games through the ADHD Lens

This book is a guide about directing, storytelling, and the creative process, written from my experience working in game development and from my perspective as a creator with ADHD. It explores the struggles in developing ideas, motivations, and how to overcome possible obstacles while making creative decisions.

In this book I explain how my ADHD mind influences the way I structure projects and move from concept to execution in a process full of ups and downs. It is not only about directing, but about thinking, designing, in a way that works with your mind rather than against it.
